The pandemic is mostly behind us, and people seem eager to put the last two and a half years in the rearview mirror.
We know that’s the case because our bookings between now and the end of the year are on track to reach an all-time high. Some of our long-time corporate customers got in touch with us as early as mid-August for their office holiday parties, banquets, appreciation luncheons, New Year’s Eve celebrations, and more. That trickle became a steady stream after Labor Day. Some clients even book their holiday party the for the following year the day of their party to make sure they get their preferred date!
Our individual customers are also reaching out right on cue to make arrangements for their social and extended family events.
Don’t get me wrong, we’re not booked yet. We can expertly manage numerous events in a single day with multiple teams of our best servers. There’s still time to plan yours and we’d be honored to meet your end-of-year catering and serving needs … and introduce you to our emotion-evoking flavor profiles.
Corporate Events
In the corporate/business world, there’s a lot of pent-up desire to party … and we mean that in the nicest sense. Everyone seems anxious to get back to a nostalgic normal by hosting staff and client appreciation events, including mid-December luncheons, evening plated meals, and even blow-out New Year’s Eve parties.
If you’re thinking along those same lines, how about an employee appreciation lunch on a workday in mid-December? Maybe a taco bar buffet in your breakroom from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. accompanied by tortilla soup, fresh guacamole salad, and fresh-made tortilla chips with queso dip. Another popular option is a salad and sandwich bar featuring our Minnesota wild rice chicken soup.
Or you could choose a more seasonal theme with a carving station buffet with your choice of ham, turkey, or prime rib (or pick two!) accompanied by roasted seasonal vegetables like sweet potatoes and butternut squash paired with a green bean almondine side dish followed by fresh-made pie and pastry desserts.
Many of our clients host banquets for their employees and their partners on a Friday or Saturday evening in December or on New Year’s Eve. If you’d like to offer a plated dinner, your guests can select their entrees ahead of time – perhaps Tuscan chicken, London broil, or a surf and turf combination of bourbon-glazed salmon and prime rib. We’ll even take care of the holiday decorations and bring in a DJ or live band to keep the good times going deep into the night. At 12:15 a.m. we’ll roll out a coffee station along with a breakfast biscuit or street taco bar to keep your guests on site as they wind down.
Are you trying to encourage your work-from-home employees to come back to the office? Reintroduce them to their workspace with a heavy hors d’oeuvres happy hour. Then keep them coming back by bringing in lunch one or two days a week with menus that fit your organization’s culture – from meat and potatoes to lighter fare like a soup, salad, and sandwich bar with gluten free options.
There’s also the option of having a “Welcome to 2023” office breakfast on January 2 to get the year off to a nutritious start and on a positive note, featuring blueberry-limoncello French toast with a fresh fruit platter or fresh-made breakfast sandwiches with premium coffee and three flavors of juices. Another favorite is a traditional New Year’s Day-inspired lunch with black eyed peas to bring good luck.
